Our vision

Thriving communities where no one goes hungry and local food systems advance health, social, and economic well-being for all.

Our mission

We help deliver healthy meals, reduce food waste, and improve community health through logistics expertise, last-mile delivery, and local partnerships.

The problem

In the U.S., there is more than enough food to meet people’s needs, but it doesn't always reach every household, especially when transportation is a barrier. Food Connect helps close that gap by improving how food moves so existing access efforts can reach more people more reliably.

What we do

Community-rooted partnerships: We work alongside local organizations, health care institutions, food providers, and community leaders to design solutions that reflect local priorities and strengthen food networks over time.

Last-mile logistics & delivery: We move nutritious food where it is needed most through coordinated transportation, home-delivery, and distribution services that reduce barriers to food access.

Data-informed program design: We use data, community feedback, and operational insight to improve delivery models, identify gaps, and help partners reach more people effectively.

Advocacy & systems change: We share what we learn on the ground to inform policies, partnerships, and investments that strenthen local food systems and improve long-term food access.

Building more equitable local food systems

Food insecurity does not exist in isolation. It is shaped by longstanding inequities in transportation, healthcare, housing, economic opportunity, and access to resources.

At Food Connect, we work to advance equity by working alongside well-established community groups, involving the people most affected, and prioritizing solutions that result in a more responsive, inclusive, and dignified local food system.
